During our flash mob on Saturday one of the actions drew considerable attention and smiles. We asked participants to ‘draw a line with chalk, greet/wave and beckon people to follow you along the line’.
Little did we know that chalk marks are offensive to Peterborough Council, even during an Arts Festival…We found out the hard way and managed to avoid a hefty cleaning bill by scrubbing it all out…
By Sunday the cleaning was incorporated into the Flash Mob actions/prompts. This time, we collected buckets and brooms and immediately after drawing the line we asked our amazing volunteers to ‘skip to find broom then clean your line while skipping or dancing.’ This gave a new angle to our flash mob and reminded us how crucial it is to Play the City Now Or Never !
